It is rare example of a pristine coral-rag island and boast a spectacular coral reefs along its western shore, CHUMBE is a nice nature reserve located 7 km off the coast of Zanzibar and is the first Marine park in Tanzania where a rare and unspoiled coral-rag forest is protected. This uninhabited island is a home of unusual coconut crabs and breeding sanctuary of the extremely rare Aders Duickers antelope. Its one among the best site for diving, snorkeling and beach relaxing as well as the most spectacular coral gardens are found here.
